The app does not show a version number on screen. When a new version is ready, a bar appears at the bottom reading A new version is ready. with Update now and Later. The app never reloads itself, so it cannot interrupt a visit you are typing. Tap Update now between patients, or at the end of the day.

On an iPad, if an update does not take, remove the home-screen icon and add it again from the launch link. Take a backup first, and check the sync button reads Synced, so nothing that exists only on that device is lost.

The app has been rebuilt. Same offline-first design, same optional sync to your own Supabase project, same records: the difference is the app around them. It is faster on an iPad, easier to read in daylight, and a good deal harder to lose work in. If you have used it before, the layout will look different and a few things have new names. The guides above have been rewritten to match.

What is new for a clinician. A returning patient's chart now shows a vitals trend across their visits, with values outside the usual range picked out. Recording a second visit for someone already in the chart is a single button rather than re-typing their details, and it no longer risks writing over the previous visit. A visit can be deleted if it was entered against the wrong patient. If the app closes mid-visit, what you had typed comes back. The quantity to dispense now appears on the prescription line as you enter it.

Setting up a device is now guided. A new iPad walks through connecting to your cloud (or choosing to stay offline only), naming itself, and entering your sites and clinicians, so records are never filed under a placeholder name.

Under the hood. Text and buttons meet accessibility contrast standards. The app warns and stops rather than carrying on if it can no longer read its own records. Two browser tabs can no longer overwrite each other. Patients whose names are written in Amharic, Tigrinya, Arabic, Cyrillic, Thai or Khmer can be filed, which was previously impossible.

Try it before you install it. The browser demo is a full working copy with sample patients. Nothing in it leaves your browser.

Please update your devices. This release fixes three problems that can affect patient records and dispensing counts. If your team enters medications, or files patients whose names are not written in the Latin alphabet, update before your next clinic.

Records could be silently replaced by an older copy. The app keeps a second copy of your records as a safety net. Past roughly 2,700 records that copy stops being written, because it runs out of room in the browser. If the main store was then lost, the app restored the old copy and carried on as though nothing had happened, so a device could quietly come back as a months-old clinic. It now refuses to load a copy it knows is out of date, blocks saving so nothing overwrites it, tells you what it found, and points you at restoring a backup file instead.

Dispensing quantities could be too low. A dose written as "1 gram" rather than "1000mg" was not read at all, and a formulary that keeps the strength in a separate field from the drug name fell back to assuming one tablet per dose. Both produced a quantity smaller than intended, with nothing on screen to show it. Doses are now read the same way everywhere, the quantity to dispense appears on the prescription line as you enter it, and a dose the app cannot read is flagged rather than quietly guessed.

Patients whose names are not written in Latin letters can now be filed. A name in Amharic, Tigrinya, Arabic, Cyrillic, Thai or Khmer produced no patient number, so the visit could not be saved at all. Every patient number that already exists is unchanged.

Also in this release. The app accepts Supabase's newer Publishable key as well as the older anon key, so a key can be replaced without disturbing the rest of your project. The staging and preview builds no longer share storage with the live app.

Documentation refresh. The Setup, User, and Admin guides were revised to match the current app - accurate vitals and diagnosis fields, the real admin-access and automatic-sync behavior, the correct Supabase setup SQL, and a new "moving to a new device" section in the Admin Guide.
